SELFIE WITH COWS?

IMAGINE SELFIES WITH THE EASTER BUNNY OR A MINI-COW!

ST CROIX FALLS, WI – Becky Lindblom and Teresa Hansen, Big Rock Creek’s dynamic ownership team, started the Spring Boutique in 2020 with a vision to showcase local artisans and vendors during the pandemic. It proved very popular, getting people out of their homes and together at the 2-day event. Starting with about 20 vendors inside a 100-year-old timber-framed barn, along with Easter Bunny photo ops and an egg hunt, 500 people came the first year. It turned out to be the “launch” of family and intergenerational fun at Big Rock Creek. Now groups from senior centers, churches and childcare facilities attend, too!

“We watch as families relished in their egg hunt finds and enjoyed what we like to call “Good Ole’ Fashioned Family Fun.” Since 2020, the annual Spring Boutique has continued to grow to more than 40 new vendors and artisans, including a petting zoo, pony rides, live music and food trucks. The resident cow, Maggie, has also welcomed two other Scottish Highlanders and 2 mini-cows to her yard, and are always welcoming a petting or selfie! I mean, who doesn’t love a selfie with a cow!

There’s even an Adult Easter Egg Hunt with valuable prizes for the big kids!

Weekend stays are available, too, with Big Rock Creek’s onsite lodging and glamping offerings.

“Our family loves to share such a special place and watch the joy that it brings to everyone from babies to grandparents. Big Rock Creek is a “feeling” that will leave you wanting to come back to events 365 days a year. It is good ole’ fashioned family fun!“ Becky L.
